    It’s a work of art!

    My Bastion pen is truly a work of art. I keep it on my desk top, and people have wanted to look at it, and feel it’s quality.
    I keep a close eye on it.... should have ordered the engraving. 😉

    Great blade design

    The knife is awesome especially for the price

    D2 wharncliffe blade, ceramic bearings, G10 scales, excellent fit and finish, what's not to like?

    At $30 this knife is a win.Pros: The quality of construction is excellent--easily as good as knives costing well over $100. The design is both beautiful and functional. It's not ostentatious but neither is it ordinary looking. It's got an clean/refined profile that's somehow also aggressively down to business. Grip and ergonomics are good for my average-sized hands (I wear a men's medium sized work glove) and there's room to spare for a larger hand too. While not exactly a "premium steel" D2 is still solidly superior to budget steels like 420HC, 12C27, 7Cr17MoV, or 1095 and the blade came acceptably sharp. Flipping action is easy, and the knife can be both opened and closed quickly with one hand. The pocket clip feels sturdy enough for typical EDC, and the lanyard hole makes it simple to secure the knife with a small carabiner or strap if desired.Cons: While the flipping action is easy enough right out of the box, the knife benefits from a little bit of pivot lube to really get that lightning-quick opening and drop-closed smoothness. Also the pocket clip is not adjustable, so you're stuck with it exactly as shipped which is not ideal for lefties. Neither of these is a big deal, but just things to keep in mind.Other thoughts: I originally ordered the ODG scales with black blade and they shipped the ODG scales with a silver blade, but the company was quick to offer to exchange it when I notified them, so no real issues there. As far as heat treatment goes, most tests that I've seen put Bastion's D2 around the Rc 59 mark. They have had a few test in softer at like 54 which is definitely soft for D2. But that's the risk you run when buying a $30 knife. Even if you do get a blade that somehow missed the proper heat treat, and ended up soft, it's still going to perform better than the 420J2 blades on many budget knives that are only a few dollars less.

    The knife is great, it's got good economics, comfortable in the hand.I love the wharncliffe blade, very sharp, and a strong piercing point,The G10 has good texture and grip.The clip is really smooth and the knife comes out of your pocket easily if you have on thin slacks, almost too easy, it sticks in Jeansa little bit better.... it's not a weak clip I just wished it gripped a bit better or had some texture. I put grip tape on mine but took it off it was too much.Overall good knife for the price.

    • Products that have been disassembled for cleaning, adjustments, and/or modifications
    • Shipments that have Postage Due or arrive COD

    We are not notified by the carrier as to the name of the sender who sent a package that requires additional postage so we are unable to notify customers about unaccepted shipments.

    3. A physical return of all items in required condition. Returns must be shipped in original condition including original product packaging (not the shipping envelope), if applicable. 
    4. Return shipping costs covered by buyer. Shipping costs are non-refundable.  The only exception is when an item arrives damaged or defective from our warehouse (see RMA instructions below).
    5. Tracking number for return shipments.

    While a tracking number does not guarantee delivery, it does help when and if you need to file a claim with the carrier against loss, damage, or non-delivery. Bastion is not liable or responsible for paying for incorrect postage or for correcting for issues that result from carrier or customer error or negligence. We are not responsible for filing claims on behalf of the sender. In cases of carrier or customer fault; refunds or exchanges for returns will be handled on a case-by-case basis.  We reserve the right to refuse to incur additional costs based on errors or negligence caused by the carrier or customer.


    Please carefully review and follow our return policy.  Enclose within the return, a note listing the full name of the purchaser, the order number, and request for replacement, exchange, or refund.

    Paid shipping costs (paid return label) by Bastion are provided for proof of damage/defect within 10 days of ship date.  Proof is accepted in the form of clear photographs or a brief video emailed to us at documenting the issue. 

    IMPORTANT: If you receive a defective item DO NOT DISASSEMBLE OR MODIFY in any way to attempt to resolve the issue, as this will void any opportunity to return for refund, exchange, or replacement.

    KNIFE SPECIFIC-INSTRUCTIONS: Bastion knives do not include a warranty of any kind. Disassembly of knife to clean, modify, or alter in any way for personal preference voids any opportunity to request returns for refund, exchange, or replacement.


    Exchanges can only be made for similarly priced items.  Exchanges do not include special shipping costs paid by buyer in original shipment.  If requesting an exchange, enclose a note in the shipment providing the description of the part from our web store (e.g., include the URL, Product SKU code, or product title).  


    If you believe that a refund has not been issued, please do the following first: Check your bank account / credit card to determine if a refund has been processed. It may take some time before your refund is officially posted to your bank or card.

    If you have determined that you have not received a refund, email us at to investigate our records for a date and possible transaction code of the completed refund or the reason that a refund was not processed.
